Olympia Lodge

This was a great location for me to explore Monterey, Caramel, Pinnacles NP, Big Sur,etc. there are definitely pros and cons. Pros: economical, clean, easy parking, had TV, mini fridge, microwave, good location close to the coast and the downtown area with good restaurants, yet not too far from Cannery Row and Fisherman’s Wharf. Boxed breakfast of croissant, chocolate muffin, and cheese, (short window for pick up) Cons: a little rustic. No a/c or heat. This was fin at it was the perfect temp to not need them. Could hear a lot of what was going on outside my room. ( poorly insulated?) Water temp a little variable in the shower. Check in has a very limited window, otherwise front desk can arrange a lock box to get key for late check in. Overall, I thought it was a decent value and enjoyed my stay. It was perfect for me!!! I am normally a firm Hilton properties traveler but this location and price served my needs better for this trip.

Compliant in terms of value for money. I recommend it as a very good budget option. I stayed one night and no problem we were just there to sleep. We occupied it as a stopover on California Route 1. The carpet gave me some allergy but the rest, fine.

This is our go to place to stay. We visit the Monterey area a lot and have chosen The Olympic lodge as our hotel. Its clean, comfortable, very quite, has great staff, located in the perfect spot, and reasonably priced. It is located very close to the ocean, and golf course. The eateries are also very close and the drive into Monterey is beautiful
