Sea Venture Resort

Upon walking in to the ocean front room, there was an intense smell of cigarette smoke and extremely loud music. It turned out to be the people in the room next door. After complaining twice to the front desk, we were told that the people next door were allowed to play their music as loud as they wanted until 10 PM. We asked to be moved and we were told that they were sold out, so we got a refund and went somewhere else. I am extremely disappointed! This was supposed to be a relaxing get away. I have a genetic condition that I am not supposed to be around smoke and I’m recovering from multiple surgeries. I need rest and relaxation.

This was our anniversary trip and my wife was adamant she wanted a hot tub and this was a location she had her eyes set. We came by around 1pm before our 4pm check-in to get a parking pass because our pre-trip email said that was a option, so we said why not so we could kill time on the pier or somewhere else in Pismo. The reception desk was kind enough to check if a room was available and there was! So she checked me in and without a additional cost, which is a plus nowadays. The room was a Partial Ocean View and we were on the southwest corner of the place. Mind you there is a 2 story building right next door. The room was immaculate, decent sized bed for someone who is 6'3" and with a fireplace. No AC which is a drawback for me and for us who were facing the south and barely caught any breeze whatsoever, but we made it work and it wasn't too bad, not sure how comfortable it is during the summer. The hot tub was full and running and you just had to remove the cover and hop right in. Lets just say if you are squeamish about people watching you, this room is not for you. Lets just say the people in the 2 story building got a full on show, not that I cared. But I wasn't going to let my anniversary stay go to waste because someone wanted to watch. Big kicker they offer room service breakfast the next morning from Monday thru Friday and a weekend brunch. So you can enjoy breakfast in bed while you just stare out into the ocean or into partners beautiful eyes. Nonetheless I would be back, but I would opt for the full ocean view.

We held a wedding reception at the SeaVenture Beach Hotel restaurant September 27, 2025. We met with their food and beverage director, Simon Kovesdi to plan the event. We found Simon welcoming and easy to work with throughout the process. He provided options for food and drink, including a wine tasting. As our small group grew, he was able to accommodate us. His young team of servers were great. From offering drinks before dinner to serving our meals. We offered 5 dinner options and 2 salads. Their organizational tools for fast and efficient service to each persons specific selection was super. Food was delicious and all our family and friends were complimentary. We highly recommend Simon and SeaVenture Beach Hotel Restaurant.
