Motel 6 Redding North

water pressure awesome! the heaviest I have ever felt in any motel. if the shower were bigger it would be the only improvement that I could think of but honestly loved it. it's not far from shopping and restaurants. go stay here. you will love it. clean!

The security at this motel is non-existent for parked vehicles. Commercial trucks and trailers park at the back where there are no cameras. There is no perimeter fencing of any kind. We lost 2 huge suitcases from our truck with clothes, jewellery and many other items. An encampment is down the road from this motel. We didn't have the courage to go there and demand our things and we had to continue our trip. The clerk just asked us if we wanted to make a police report.

As soon as I walked into the room it smelled bad and musty The bathroom had clumps of hair all over the floor where it was just mopped around and a dirty cleaning rag was left on the toilet cover. There was a large square hole in the bathroom ceiling that was covered up by a piece of drywall that wasn’t even sealed on the edges. The shower head had 4 zip ties on it but I’m not sure what it was holding together and the plastic shower head had a large crack in it and when you changed from a spray to a direct stream all the water came out of the crack. This place was disgusting, there were people hanging out in the parking lot smoking “supposed to be non smoking premises” that apparently knew the employees because they kept going in and out of the office conversing with them. During the night one of those people kept yelling to someone in the walkway. This was supposed to be a convenient place to stay right off the I5 and a last minute decision but I would have paid twice as much to stay somewhere else. It was so disgusting I wouldn’t be surprised if they rented rooms by the hour. I will never stay at any motel 6 ever again because of this experience.
