We chose this hotel because online, it advertised that it was ADA compliant and had handicap access. When checking in from the lobby, I noticed the handicap sign, but it pointed to two stairs that were in the lobby. There was no wheelchair access nor any way to avoid the stairs.
We asked the woman at the front desk about them and she said that if someone needed help, she would help them get down the stairs. Unbelievable. Luckily I had not brought my 400lb wheelchair today, but a lighter 50lb one that my husband was able to help me with.
The Inn and Spa at Parkside need a refresher course on what ADA compliant means! This is false advertising.
