RAMADA WEST SACRAMENTO HOTEL A

We showed up at midnight, the front desk wrote our credit card down because their machine wasn’t working. Then they left the paper out on the counter for anyone to see. I could easily have seen 10 others credit card info on the same sheet. Got to the room, the door handle was busted, beds looked dirty, ice chest still had the last persons ice in it, outlets had no covers or were falling out of the wall, bathroom was covered in black mold. We asked for a clean room or extra blankets and they couldn’t help us. We ended up walking across the street to the motel 6. (Which was way better). I asked for a refund and they have yet to give it to me.

Booked a few days thru American Airlines vacations. When I arrived, clerk said she was just going to call me to inform me there were no clean rooms available because Housekeeping staff had not come in for days. She then said there may be one room she could give us. It was in a part of hotel that was under current construction (see photos) that was unsafe and unacceptable. We had to find a different hotel. There were none of the listed services available ( no pool, fitness center, etc). Terrible inconvenience. Don’t book here.

Service/staff was excellent, however everything else was dreadful. We did not receive any of the things that we paid for including the airport shuttle (ended up having to pay $52 for a taxi after calling TWICE to confirm we would have the shuttle to pick us up), packed swimwear and towels for a nice evening at the pool that was not operational, did not have food or breakfast on site. Also the back door to our room was left wide open when we arrived which was a safety concern. I've stayed at a lot of hotels in my day and this was by far my worst experience.
