La Quinta Inn Mission Valley

DO NOT STAY HERE. The room smell is terrible. Musty and mildew smell is all you’ll smell. Purely depressing. The hallways are dark and dingy. The pool was dirty. The elevator had cracks in it. Gym was being renovated and just overall unpleasant.

The only positive things about this hotel is the mini fridge and microwave other then that this place was a nightmare. The toilet was absolutely horrific, and DID NOT MAKE IT WORK. I COULDN'T EVEN FLUSH. TOILET GOT CLOGGED ON THE FIRST FLUSH. SPOKE TO STAFF THEY SAID MAINTENANCE WOULD COME AND CAME BACK TO THE SAME SITUATION. EVERYTIME I WENT UP TO FRONT DESK TO TELL THEM I SPOKE TO THIS PERSON WHO WAS HERRE EARLIER NO ONE KNEW WHO IT WAS..LIKE THEY ARE SO DISCONNECTED THEY DONT EVEN KNOW WHO WORKS THERE. IT SMELLS LIKE CIGARETTE AND PISS TOGETHER. The location is convenient as it is within walking distance (BUT I WOULDN'T WALK THERES NO WALKING PATH LOL.. YOU'RE NEXT TO A FREEWAY) to lots of restaurants and shopping at the mall. Overall, I would NEVER stay there again, PLEASE DON'T BOOK HERE. THEY HAVE NO CONSIDERATION, DIDNT EVEN WANT TO REFUND MY STAY.

Friendly, helpful staff, clean room, and convenient to everything we needed without an obscene price. Would absolutely stay here again. Basic lodging but well executed. And the text made checkout a breeze! Only complaint was the fitness room was out of service, but heard that it is being remedied.
