Quality Inn Near Qualcomm Stadium

Get place to get away for a bit. Comfortable rooms and they look great. Hot showers. They even have lotion.

Its part of a chain of motels across the country, I consider stopover. You stay 1-2 nights as part of a work or layover trip. Its a safe area that is mostly residential. The motel is clean and staff was friendly. Next door there is a pub or restaurant that serves American food.

We've stayed in the same room at this Rodeway Inn several times over many years, through at least two changes of management. Our recent visit was very disappointing. The desk had been removed and replaced with an out-of-place empty TV cabinet. No daily room service; had to ask three times for a second washcloth and handtowel. The washcloth finally appeared, but not the handtowel. The iron and ironing board had been removed but their hanger was left on the wall. No tissues. Sheets thin as tissue paper. Thin towels. Moderately clean, but with plenty of nicks and scuffs on the lower walls and bathroom door frame. Family members with a room two doors away experienced a noisy party in the room next to theirs until 4am. Tried calling the office several times to complain but nobody picked up the phone. The breakfast room was clean but the only food on offer was cereal, tiny muffins, and premixed-makeyourown waffles - no fruit, yogurt, or eggs. Weak coffee. On the positive side, the maintenance man was very prompt in getting us some hangers. This motel is one of only two in the neighborhood near our relatives, and the other one isn't better. Guess we'll start using AirBnB next visit.
