I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. I booked a 2-night stay (July 3–5, 2026) through Cheapoair on May 31, 2026, for one room with two beds. After reading some concerning reviews, I had a bad feeling and decided to call the hotel before my trip to confirm my reservation. I also informed the receptionist that I might arrive late because I planned to spend time in Los Angeles before driving to San Diego. The receptionist confirmed they had my reservation and assured me that late check-in was not a problem, saying I could check in anytime after 3:00 PM. However, when I arrived at the hotel at 11:30 PM on July 3, I was shocked. The front desk receptionist told me that the hotel had canceled my reservation due to flooding and that I needed to “talk to your third party.” She was rude, showed no empathy, and offered no assistance whatsoever. It was 11:30 at night, and I was left stranded in an unfamiliar city with nowhere to stay. I immediately called Cheapoair, and they told me they had never received any cancellation notice from the hotel. If the hotel truly had to cancel reservations because of flooding, why didn’t they notify me directly after I had already called to confirm my reservation? Why wasn’t Cheapoair informed so they could help me find another hotel before I arrived? This experience was incredibly stressful and completely unacceptable. A hotel should never leave guests without accommodation in the middle of the night, especially after confirming the reservation in advance. The lack of communication, poor customer service, and complete disregard for guests’ well-being were beyond disappointing. If you’re considering staying here, be aware that even a confirmed reservation may not mean you’ll actually have a room when you arrive. I strongly recommend booking somewhere else if you want peace of mind and professional customer service.

perfect location. All employees were so nice. The breakfast was sufficient and had about what I expected (waffles, hard boiled eggs, coffee, hot toaster) All Items very clean and safe area to take public transportation from. We enjoyed our short stay and would definitely stay again.

This property was in a great location for walking to eat, or just to enjoy the beautiful outdoors. Across a small street from a quiet harbor. So many sights to take in. Our room was a little worn, but served our purpose, which was have a base near the San Diego Airport which was clean and secure in a safe neighborhood - all on a budget. Advance check-in was easy, the staff was helpful, included breakfast was simple, yet offered enough variety for everyone to be happy and start the day fulfilled.
