Americas Best Value Inn & Suites - Union Square

We did not stay in the hotel. When we arrived all building was covered with a smell of food which was cooked in the first floor. Before completing check-in we wanted to see the room. Bed sheets and pillows were not clean. Then we decided not to stay and find another place. It is more like a hostel and the pictures on the website are not reflecting the reality. I do not recommend the place.

Last night i had a terrible robbery situation inside of the vantaggio garland. İ was talking on the phone and sitting the stairs of 3rd floor. A black guy came toward me and showed me his gun then he grabbed my phone and told me that you will give me money without saying nothing where is your room he said. And we went to my friends room together i knocked the door my friend opened the door and i screamed that he has a gun and then my friend pushed him away closed the door. We called pollice. They arrived after the black guy leaft. İ want you to know that here is not safety. Manager of vantaggio told me that we don't have responsibilty to protect you and your property. What is this bad situation. İ was afraid a lot ,i might be died now and either my friends might be shot. One more, my new iphone is still lost and police told me that they can't find my phone anymore. Im so sad and scared.I strongly dont suggest you this dirty unsecured place with careless staff.

I stayed here for a week on one of the ground level units. The rooms are somewhat small and the furnishings Spartan. The carpet, wallpaper, and furniture all looked a bit worn and worse for wear. The elevator is antiquated, which makes it neat to ride on once or twice. Breakfast is not too bad at all. Service at the hotel was competent. Room rates are definitely a bargain, but you get what you pay for. On the whole, the hotel is rather dingy, as is much of the Tenderloin neighbourhood surrounding it, unfortunately.
