Baldwin Hotel

I’m so appalled by the pure disrespect! I was in a high level biz call that started at 9am. I had the do not disturb sign in my door. The walls, doors are quite then so anyone in the outside could hear me on the phone notwithstanding the Do Not Disturb sign on the door. YET, around 9:30am, the owner and/or housekeeper knocked loud in my door. I had to quickly put the phone on mute and he was knocking very hard (again the Do Not Disturb sign in the door at 9:30am while I’m in a high stakes call). He still tried asking about cleaning the room. It was 9ish in the AM with the sign in the door. It was extremely disrespectful and I even said “sir clearly you hear me in the phone and it’s only 9:30ish), why are you disturbing me during an extremely important call. They owe me a voucher, as they got my off my rhythm and I still clearly don’t understand why the sign was completely ignored and it was not even time to checkout. NOTE: I was not staying over so you should be knocking 1 minute after I pass checkout and not before if I have the sign up and when you clearly hear I’m still in the room. I can’t do this level of disrespect and shame on you. I’ll be posting this every where because I think it was beyond disrespectful in my high stakes call!😡! Do BETTER!!

Stayed here for a quick stopover in San Francisco. Location was great as we wanted to explore and eat in Chinatown. Hotel located at the Dragon Gate to Chinatown. Also located across the street from a delicious gelato place that stays open late. We had a room with a double bed (not so comfortable for two adults), but for one night it was fine). Staff very accommodating and friendly. Walk to BART was about 10 minutes, and to Union Square very convenient. Would stay here again if we were to stay longer, but would choose a room with bigger sized beds.

Room large enough and clean. The location is very central, walking distance to Union Square and china town.
