Beck's Motor Lodge

Title: A massive thank you to Sue Ellen (and the best check-in experience ever) I’ve stayed at Beck’s Motor Lodge a few times, but I really need to take a minute to talk about the incredible lady at the front desk, Sue Ellen. I walked in recently after a brutally long, exhausting day—the kind of day where all you want to do is drop your bags and finally relax. When I walked through the doors, Sue Ellen not only remembered exactly who I was, but she had actually anticipated my arrival and already handled the entire check-in process. My parking pass was already prepared and sitting there waiting for me. All I had to do was flash my ID, and I was heading to my room in under a minute. You just don't see that kind of intuitive, genuine hospitality very often. It is so rare for a hotel to completely remove the friction of traveling, and she totally turned my evening around by making the process effortless. This review is really just a public thank you from the bottom of my heart to Sue Ellen. I hope the management at Beck's knows what an absolute gem they have representing their hotel. She made my stay genuinely memorable, and if you are looking for a place to stay in San Francisco with staff who actually care, this is it.

Location was great for walking around the Castro. Rooms were nice and clean and the atmosphere was pleasant. Amenities were good but a microwave and a couple of complimentary waters in the room would have been good. There reason was there is a coffee maker and coffee but no water. Not noisy except the third floor room had a lot of walking around noise at all hours. We would stay on the third floor nest time. Service was great as the lady was nice enough to heat up a cold breakfast sandwich I had as my left over. The value was there but the cost was a bit high for the accommodations and amenities. Just know the location is excellent.

Loved staying at Beck's Motor Lodge! Clean, up-to-date rooms, convenient and safe location, a gem of a hotel in SF! Would absolutely stay here again.
