Marina Motel

We got two beds in a small room with a kitchen which added some needed space. It was comfortable and had what we needed. All the windows opened to allow in fresh air. Especially noteworthy is the parking that's included in the price. We had a courtyard room (quieter than on Lombard Street) and the garages are first come, first served. We parked and took the bus from then on. We walked to Chestnut Street for dinner one evening where there are a plethora of choices. The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful. This is in no way a modern hotel experience but I quite enjoyed living the life of yester-year. I applaud their efforts to keep it going.

+ good location + private parking + cosy setup + quiet room when in inner courtyard / facing back street + appropriate room size + friendly staff - stale, damp rooms - very simple bedding with FLEA BITES as souvenir (thin old muffy blankets instead of proper comforter/duvet) - noisy when facing main street (expected), but also when facing side street - unfriendly manager

Motel with pretty inner courtyard and good location to attractions. Staff not always attentive to the needs of the customer because, despite having signaled at check in that we intended to take a rental car for one night the following days, on the day in question the receptionist asked us to park the car on the internal road because the next day they would be fully booked... shame that we had reported it in advance and that the garage should be "associated" with the room number. After much discussion, we were assigned another empty garage. Kitchen to improve (dated and with pots a little ribbed) and heating not too efficient because rather dated.
