The Mosser

Great location! Very walkable to explore SoMa, Chinatown, etc. Very European in feel, reminds me of a place we stayed in Brussels. Got a double room, perfect for two friends and our backpacks. We faced the street with a great window bump out, noise wasn't an issue.

The hotel is over 113 years old. Anyone complaining about size and quietness needs to research how old a building is before renting a room. At the end of the day the room I got was the double twin with a bathroom and it was on the small size for me and my daughter, but it wasn't an issue. There was some wear and tear on things like the towel rack mounting, and the walls let me hear our loud neighbors, but the room was clean, we turned on a white noise app at night, and there were a ton of outlets so we could plug in all our electronics which is unusual for an old hotel. The location is great. You are two doors down from a Trader Joe's so you can go grab snacks, and across the street from a Ross if you forgot a sweater. We were even able to walk from The Mosser, through Chinatown and Little Italy, down to Pier 39. We walked around there and then headed back. That was about 7 miles total for the day, but it also shows what a great location this hotel is in.

Good location and service. The rooms are tiny yet functional.
