BEST WESTERN PLUS SAN PEDRO HOTEL & SUITES

I stayed overnight in January 2022 for a cruise the next day. It was surprisingly very nice, considering the reviews. I'm from LA, so this area doesn't bother me at all. The hotel is close the LA Pier. However, the hotel entrance was from the parking lot, not the street; that front door was locked and closed. The room was large enough, and the bed was nice. The only thing that urked me, was my room has a floodlight right outside the window that shines light inside the room when the lights are turned off. Its not bothersome ( I can sleep facing the other wayway), but it is kind of annoying. The most surprising thing that DOES bothers me is that those curtains cannot be closed. They're just vanity curtains. I had to use my suitcase to keep them shut. And they only had ONE cruise shuttle and it booked out fast. It had a tub and shower como. That tub looks like it was made for little children; it was really low to the ground. The shower was amazing, though! All in all, not that bad a stay. The front desk was very friendly & excellent. When I found graffiti on the TV, I showed them a photo & they thanked me, and did not charge my room. The breakfast was nice, & fairly standard. In the Summer of 2022 the hotel was sold to a Non-Profit Organization, and turned into an SRO for the homeless.

It's closed. Rebooted at the sonesta select which was a great hotel with friendly helpful staff. It's within walking distance of in n out and other fast food. It's in a safe business area. They have aairport shuttle but be careful to pick the right sonesta hotel shuttle. Our was the sonesta select shuttle.

I booked this hotel thru booking.com. We traveled from Pennsylvania to this hotel and guess what? The hotel has been closed since Covid! There we were on the sidewalk with nowhere to go . I will never use Booking.com ever again and I warn anyone planning a vacation to go straight to the source. The 800 numbers take to you to an order gathering site like Booking.com and they charge more than if you call the hotel directly. Whatever you do make sure you don’t use Booking.com
