Best Western Plus Cavalier Oceanfront Resort

Ocean view rooms great! Nice restaurant staff Nice workout room. No good common area bathrooms. May seem trivial, but for a resort, one expects bathroom options outside of room, especially after long car rides and needing to “go” during the check in process. Restaurant bathroom very small and awkward.

This is not a fancy "resort" which was fine by us. Very casual and comfortable. Dog friendly and fireplaces in every room which we used both nights since it went down to the low fifties and we wanted to leave the door open to hear the ocean. Again, the restaurant is good, but not fancy. We had dinner and breakfast there. Servers were very friendly and the food was good, portions great. The resort is less than 10 minutes from Hearst Castle and the beach where the sea lions hang out. Great place to come chill, not have to get dressed up and enjoy the beautiful sights.

It is a lovely place that welcomes dogs. This is a huge Plus for us. The views are magnificent. The grounds are also beautiful. The restaurant on site is a big positive and the food is good. Highly recommend this place.
