Red Roof Inn Watsonville

I would like to say that for the price, this hotel was not bad, but just like everyone else, I experienced the TORTURE of staying for 3 nights. The front desk was gone half the time and weren’t able to answer any questions. When we asked for more towels, we received a bunch of dirty towels not even folded with stains on them. The beds had holes in the mattresses and appeared unclean. Not only this, but there was NO shower curtain, so the bathroom puddled up with water making it impossible to go to the toilet after. The carpet in our room was stained and nasty, forcing us to wear our shoes throughout the hotel room except for in the bed. They also only provided us 1 PILLOW PER BED and wouldn’t give more, so we shared dirty pillows all night… Half the lights in the room didn’t work and even in the hall, they flickered on and off. Even the elevator takes 3 minutes to come to you and it opens and closes very slowly. We also paid for breakfast AND WERE THEN TOLD THAT THERE IS NO LONGER BREAKFAST!! The pool was also dirty and not heated. THE PHOTOS ARE A LIE AND I WOULD CONSIDER THEM FAKE ADVERTISING AS EVERYTHING PICTURED IN THE IMAGES ISN'T HOW IT ACTUALLY LOOKS. I think that these people should update their website to inform people what they have changed. OVERALL, A VERY DUMPY MOTEL, AND EVEN THOUGH THE PRICE ISN’T BAD, NOT WORTH STAYING HERE!

I stayed at the Rodeway Inn on the night of Thursday, April 24, and unfortunately, it was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. From the moment I arrived, it was a complete disappointment. The elevator was broken, forcing me to carry my luggage up the stairs. The hallways and rooms reeked of marijuana, creating an uncomfortable and unsafe atmosphere. When I woke up the next morning, I had itchy red bumps all over my arms, especially around the elbows. These seemed to be caused by mites or fleas in the mattress, which is unacceptable and points to serious hygiene issues. To make things worse, no towels were provided in the room. I was dripping wet from the shower trying to call reception multiple times — no one answered. Eventually, towels arrived, but they were mismatched in color and looked unclean. I left during the day, and upon returning in the afternoon, I discovered that housekeeping had not cleaned or organized the room. I went to the front desk to complain and request a refund for the second night I had booked. The staff processed the refund, which was the only positive part of my stay. As a result of the poor hygiene, I am now using a topical cream to treat the rash and skin irritation I developed during my stay. This hotel fails on all basic hospitality standards: cleanliness, responsiveness, and customer care. I would strongly advise others to avoid staying at this location.

Im 70---that was my single worst motel experience, period. Horrible area out in crop fields. True story--as we tried to leave our car---SKUNKS which someone feeds out in their front door area--tried to spray us. The inner carpets, at least on the 3rd floor, are so spotted and stained that we wouldnt walk barefoot on them. The bathroom lights didnt work. The bath tub was a horror and should be replaced. The health department would order their ice machine destroyed. I complained our first night and was told certain thing like NO bathroom light would be fixed. They never were. Yet when I complained again as we left, we were told that our staying there was acceptance and we were due nothing back. I cant load the bathroom photos but others have similar ones in Google reviews. The front desk person said I have to go to Expedia to get any money back but that was a lie--I had paid the motel directly. I called the motel and asked again and was refused, and when I said Id give a bad review, was told "Do what you have to do" Re: Our 'acceptance' by staying there--the entire valley was booked out, and we had arrived at 10PM and couldnt have left anyway. This is a review for 'spite'. I wouldnt want any fellow human being to stay in that dump.
