Pacific Crest Inn Santa Barbara

We've booked a room at Pacific Crest for in a couple of weeks time and need to cancel due to a family issue. They have no way of confirming cancellation, there is no link through the reservation confirmation and their phone number doesn't work. I've email twice now requesting confirmation of cancellation and even advised I would leave a bad review and I've had no communication from them. DO NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE, THEY APPEAR TO BE A SCAM!

his stay was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. I am disgusted and furious. Our family’s health and safety were completely disregarded. I would give this hotel zero stars if I could. We will never return. INFESTED & UNSANITARY Upon entering our room, we noticed how filthy it was. Dust was everywhere—on the ceiling, in the vents (image_1, image_5). We discovered thick, dust-laden cobwebs right above our heads near the light fixture (image_1). The overall lack of basic housekeeping is repulsive. The worst part, though, was the severe pest infestation. My niece was BITTEN by a spider on her foot during our stay, resulting in a painful, swollen red mark (image_7). It’s clear this room hasn’t been properly cleaned or treated for pests in ages. We even found spider webs around the exterior light (image_5). This is unacceptable. DANGEROUS & DEFECTIVE SHOWER We were appalled by the condition and design of the shower (image_8). This is not just inconvenient; it’s dangerous. To even turn on the water, you are forced to get inside the shower enclosure, exposing yourself to immediate, unregulated temperatures. The water got scalding hot, and there was no cold water to adjust the temperature. Both my husband and I were burned. Trying to control the water in such a confined space with a defective valve is an absolute hazard. This needs to be repaired immediately before someone is seriously injured. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE The staff’s attitude was just as bad as the room. We addressed the filthy condition of the room with the reception in the morning. Later, we asked for a couple of extra muffins because some of our family didn't like the yogurt option provided at breakfast. We were dismissed by the receptionist, who bluntly told us, "I can now. I have wait every one gets one and at the end." The complete lack of consideration for basic guest requests is astounding. We also realized we accidentally brought a spider home in our suitcase, all because we left it open and later noticed webs everywhere behind and above us in the room—a direct result of the infestation. UNREFUNDABLE COST For all this suffering and disregard, we were charged an unconscionable $371.02 for just one night (image_6). This hotel is a health hazard and is structurally unsafe. We demand a full refund. Consider this a public notice and a strong warning. This business is not running a safe or clean establishment. I hope the owner reads this and takes responsibility by issuing a full refund before we escalate this further and file a official complaint with our financial institution. A devastating review is what you've earned. Do not stay here under any circumstances. This place should be shut down. Don't put your hope on Wifi & Watching Sports becuase that doesn't work.

Checked in to the Pacific Crest on 10/17/25. That night, between 12:00 midnight and 3:00 AM, it sounded like the people above us were moving furniture, pounding on the walls, dropping heavy things on the floor, and walking so loudly that it sounded like they were stomping. I called the after-hours number, spoke to some guy, but he did nothing. The next day, I talked to the girl at the front desk. She told me that she would speak to them. That night, the noise started again, but then it was quiet the rest of the night. In the morning, I thanked the girl at the front desk, and she said that they had moved the people to another room. I had her listen to the noise that day, and it turns out all the girls had lied to me. There was construction going on, and we lost sleep because the morons were working through the night. They are liars. Do not trust or stay at the Pacific Crest!
