Well-situated, nicely renovated Victorian inn with great amenities and friendly staff. We got a discount by staying 2+ nights. The inn is designed for couples but there's a king room at the top which allowed for a 3rd guest. This room was more spacious than what was depicted in the photos and the bathroom was awesome. The included breakfast was great with enough options for pickier family members. I took advantage of the daily wine o'clock, it was a great way to take an afternoon rest (or bath!) while other family members chose to continue with day activities. We were close to the quieter side of the beach and to the Wharf so it was easy to meet up again. Being able to borrow beach towels was a nice perk. It was also nice to come back at the end of the day and have a complimentary herbal tea and/or cookie. The only disappointment was that the bikes weren't available to borrow, as they got stolen and were in the midst of being replaced! Also, the front desk needs a way to buzz people in. Despite this, we had a wonderful stay.

We stayed at West Cliff Inn a week ago and were surprised to find it didn’t have air conditioning which means we had to choose to either be way to hot or leave the windows open and it be loud and bright. So while the beds were comfortable we didn’t sleep at all while we were there. Proximity to the beach, Ward and board walk are amazing. However, someone did break into our rental car and steal $250 from our golf bag. That’s our bad for leaving clubs in the car but it is a bummer that the facilities are not secure in any way. The breakfast is just a continental breakfast and is over marketed as something much fancier and one of the staff told me the wine and cheese is just from Costco so not local pairings as I would have expected. Overall, it was advertised as a boutique experience but really it was pretty generic and just over priced for the location.

Came for my dad's funeral and needed an extra night, told me I was comped, instead I was put in the most expensive room and given a 25% discount. When I returned around 9pm that night from the funeral to park a $100,000 rental car there was no parking. Three other separate parties staying at the hotel were in the same boat SOL, when I called the emergency line for all of us, I was given massive attitude and told to kick rocks. When I woke up to attend the final service and check out in my rented suit, I was charged an extra $700. This hotel went from being my happiest place on earth to the scum of it. Thank you for ruining my week. That extra $700 you took from me for a room that I entered at a blistering 87 degrees at 9 pm (NO AC EITHER THANKS GUYS) could have come in handy when I returned home from this funeral to find my car stolen. I will never come here again. Thanks Mary. Thanks Shantae.
