WINNERS CIRCLE BEACH AND TENNIS

Stayed in a 2 Bedroom/2 Bath unit. We are repeat visitors here. Winners Circle now advertises as a "boutique" experience and escape. This was the worst visit we had since they added this new tag line to justify selling timeshare weeks for 4 times the cost they were one year ago! 1. Front desk girl (younger with dark hair) when we arrived in no way made us feel welcome, quite the opposite as if we were bothering her by arriving to check-in. We right away recalled her being the same way last year and were frankly surprised she was still working there with the same unprofessional/unwelcoming chip on her shoulder. No "welcome to the Winners Circle", no "we are happy to have you here". If you are advertising as a boutique experience, start by making your paying customers and timeshare owners feel welcome or at the very least, have your front desk staff crack a smile. 2. Our room was the worst part, housekeeping was off the mark. Found nuts on the kitchen floor. Bathroom floors not swept, found hair and debris on the floors. The toilet in main bathroom was not cleaned. The wall behind the bathroom door had water drips showing that were yellow. Walls need to be wiped down in the bathrooms. We found popcorn stuck inside the sides of the chairs and couch pillows. Went to take out a spoon and found it covered with mold sitting in the drawer. The outside balcony had spider webs on all sides, not welcoming.

Whatever you do - be sure you do NOT get room 160. Don’t know what the others look like but check out the “view” from my patio. Heck, the patio itself is horrendous. The person at the front desk acts like we are disturbing her day. The organ closet door leaves a lot to be desired. No idea how this place got such high reviews. Any how - YIKES!

First time stay here, we stayed for 2 nights. Room 205. Enjoying the easy distance to the SD County Fair and driving distance to Sea World. The room was a 1 bedroom king bed with a mini kitchen. And I’m not talking about kitchenette, it was a mini kitchen with dishwasher, oven, the works. The refrigerator and microwave were great for reheating our dinner from the night before. Utensils and dishes were stored in the drawers and shelves. There was plenty of storage space for those of you who plan to stay longer. A coat closet, wardrobe in the living area. Nice simple dinning table with 4 chairs. Good sized sofa to comfortably watch tv. There was a huge balcony with table and chairs for you to enjoy the pleasant breezy ocean air. The bed was comfortable. I like my beds a little firmer. Extra blankets were provided, I get cold easier and my hubby likes the ac on lower. There was also a large closet next to the dressing table. The bathroom shower seemed a little narrow but we didn’t mind it. 7eleven is in walking distance if you need a drink, the vending machine wasn’t well stocked when we arrived unfortunately. Got coffee and water for tea were provided in the morning, thank goodness. Can’t be running on empty. The front desk ladies were helpful when we asked about ice cream parlor nearby and during checkout it was easy too. Overall we had a very nice stay. Clean, comfortable, and everything we could ask for. We’d be happy to stay here again.
