The Gold Lodge

The team is professional. Cleaning crew and front-desk maintain this budget motel as good as possible. It's a long walk to the city center. Their management rules allows a minimal Sonora's experience. Some amenities are missing: - room decoration: it's old and sometimes ugly - A/C: it's not updated, it's noisy - garbage bin: not only one in the room. Customers go outside, in the cold - tv programs: bad experience - remote control: broken - bathroom: hot water with difficulty - ice cubes: not readily available

Homeless people sleeping in the parking lot. Someone tried entering our room at night. Weekly and monthly scum tenants playing loud music,drinking, yelling and screaming well past midnight. The office won’t answer the phone and the message machine is full. The non smoking rooms reek of cigarette smoke and other unidentifiable sells. I’ll sleep in my car before I stay here again.

Arrived with my family at 7pm for reserved room. Was told that they rented it to someone else but could put the kids on the floor and have a room with single King. Room said non-smoking, but it reaked of smoke. Could not turn around in the room, not sure where on the floor kids could sleep. The place is a dump! Give this place a pass and go 10 minutes down the road to Columbia Inn.
