Super 8 Lake Tahoe / South

I selected a budget Motel in a popular area, and I had low expectations, even though it cost me a couple hundred dollars for two nights. I expected the place to be dated and little run down, but this was really bad. The beds were acceptable, and the room was decent sized. Those are about all of the positives I could find. To be fair, the Staff was nice and helpful, but the Facility was way worse than I expected. There was garbage (including Qu-Tips) behind the TV. There was an extreme shortage of outlets for this day and age. The TV might have been from last century. All the other appliances were at least that old. The Shower Curtain Rod was half torn out of the way. The paint on the bathroom wall was falling off in chunks. The Fridge door didn't close all the way. I can't believe that a Wyndham property could be this bad. Even though I am a Wyndham Rewards member, I will not be staying at any more Wyndham properties. The worst was when I got in the shower and saw major amounts of Mold all over the bottom foot of the shower curtain. It was disgusting. I understand not having the money to update the facility, but there is no excuse for allowing a health hazard like that to fester. Wyndham needs to do some routine checks of their properties, because this dump really gives them a bad name

The beds are lumpy (old mattress) you could actually feel the metal Springs on the mattress continental breakfast consists of juice, cereal, milk and coffee the walls are thin as paper and it's very outdated on top of that when we called in to reserve the room was told it was $40 they charged me $89 for that price at real breakfast would have been nice so sore and disappointed but never again!

The property is reminiscent of the 1960's with a 90's touch on the inside. Some of the rooms have been abused, but not all. We settled into our second room no problem. The rooms are large and spacious and the front desk staff was nice. There is a beauty shop, bar and restaurant on property as a Vape shop. Located in a central part of town.
