Hyland Motel Van Nuys

My stay at Hyland Inn was an absolute nightmare due to severe hygiene issues. The room was filthy with dirty linens, stained towels, uncleaned floors, and live cockroaches. It was so unsanitary that we had no choice but to check out two days early, making this the only time in my life I have had to leave a hotel early. The front desk staff was completely unhelpful and refused to issue a refund for the unused nights, claiming only the owner could approve it. However, every attempt to reach the owner was shut down, with staff consistently claiming it was not possible to contact him. Booking.com was equally useless in resolving the issue. Save your money and book anywhere else.

This motel is hidden gem. The rooms are clean, the manager is great and makes you feel taken care of, and the rates are cant be beat. There are no other motels in the area that you will pay less for, and get as clean, safe and with quality customer service.

We slept 3 nights in this motel outside Los Angeles trying to save some money. I list the negative things and then the positives They don't have coffee in the room, the air conditioner is very noisy, the hygiene leaves a lot to be desired... I'd say terrible. Positive: affordable cost, quiet area. If you can find better.
