The Clocktower Inn

We stayed at the Clocktower Inn Ventura for 3 nights in Room 219. Overall, we had a comfortable stay and really enjoyed the location. The bed was comfortable and we slept well, and I especially enjoyed having a balcony. The noon checkout was also a nice perk and made for a relaxed morning. The location is a big plus. There are lots of restaurants, retail shops, and bars within easy walking distance, and the beach is also an easy walk from the hotel. They offer breakfast in the morning, which was a nice convenience. The hotel has been renovated, although it still has a somewhat tired feel in places. Our room felt a little tight for a three-night stay, and there weren't a lot of outlets for charging devices. Parking can also be a little challenging. It's free for hotel guests, but in a city lot that fills quickly. We did have a minor issue with our door on the last day when it became difficult to open. After a few attempts and a quick trip to the front desk, we were eventually able to get it open. Hopefully, it's an easy maintenance fix for the hotel. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, particularly the great location, comfortable bed, balcony, breakfast, and late checkout. It's a good option if you want to be close to downtown Ventura and the beach without needing to drive everywhere.

Stayed here over Labor Day weekend with my wife. We loved it. Room 218 was a dream. Great furniture, very comfortable bed, incredible view of the park and mission, and an unbeatable location. There are small things to nitpick over. A spot on the wall, bathroom door has trouble latching, a common continental breakfast. Why this would matter to anyone over the view, the weather, the location, the bed, or the furniture is beyond me. I'd live out my retirement in room 218 just as it is right now.

The best hotel closest to all the thrifting on Main Street! And close to lots of excellent restaurants. You never have to drive. The room was great, the fact we could open windows was so nice. It was very relaxing and the breakfast was adequate.
