Savannah Suites - Arvada

Disgusting hotel and very sketchy neighborhood. Front desk staff very nice but would never recommend staying there. I was there with my kids and felt very unsafe. Claims to be a smoke free property but cigarette and chemicals smell was overwhelming. Only stayed one night of our 3 night reservation. Very loud cars racing at 10:30pm for a couple hours the night we did stay. Overall- horrible experience.

I’ve been staying at Suburban Studios for about 6mths; and Corkie has been here the entire time. She is always so accommodating, and helpful. Give this girl a raise. 👍 lol

I found this place on Travelocity at what I thought it was a good rate, it seems to be the going rate until management charges, stating they will offer the discount, the amount was $145.30 for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, my Visa charged 195.30 (folio is a bit confusing, not regular as I expect). They demanded a $100.00 deposit; this should had been my first warning! Never had I had a deposit demand from NYC, CT, Boston, New Mexico, AZ, Vegas and more where I have traveled. I had my service animals and offered my Dr's letter, the answer was no via Victor, who seemed appropriately friend, yet that deposit was egregiously questionable! The front desk (Victor) was VERY FRIENDLY taking my Visa & demanding a $100.00 Deposit! A huge RED FLAG -CAUTION, yet canceling and searching for another place immediately was not preferred. Later this proved to have further ramifications in MISCOMMUNICATIONS IN MORE CHARGES, I did wish to extend the stay, given the "room" was palpable, not quiet! but I had to get my new Dell 15 Laptop set up, an ordeal and did not wish to pack up and move somewhere I would feel move comfortable. Speaking to David a few times (the manager) & Trusting too much, I stated I wish to extend Thursday - Friday & Saturday, David did not hear the Saturday. I paid for an additional $123.31 which I thought due to our conversation David was giving me a discount and thanked him. The Folio is very confusing, not standard. Ergo, although I left by 12:30PM on Saturday given incorrect communication, management (David or Victor) decided this was the Hilton and STOLE THE $100.00 DEPOSIT. One of the guests helped me out with my heavier items, given there were NO TROLLIES per Victor. ROOMS: They are standard, and cleanliness of the room was standard for the quality level of Motel, (not sure why they named the place Studios, does not fit.) Towels were medium standard, plus soap - shampoo, I have my own fitting for my type of hair. The shower did offer a good water supply. Bedding: The pillows are squishy, I brought my own orthopedic having a neck injury. Plus I always bring my own blankets for my service animals. And had to remake the bed, for the blanket was set up to low around my hips. That Studio blanket should never be offered, it was stain, torn and rather useless. Happily I had my own! The kitchen, sub-below with a rather "High Set" funky microwave, given it was snowing I had soup (my own food from TJoes). I had to ask manager/management to reach beyond my ability to open the microwave door, this was difficult throughout my stay. Management stated it was once lower set, yet not secure. It's NOT secure when standing on my tiptoes barely reaching any content. I did mention to the manager regarding all the dog poop on the property: His comment was, "Are there bags in the bin?" Yes there were a few; subject dropped. The place is riddled with Doggy Poop. I bring my own and clean up! And Pot/Weed odor of SKUNK and cigarettes are prolific throughout the entire building and area. My standing review is on Yelp.com
