The Charter at Beaver Creek

This place should be just fine if none of the following bothers you: Paper-thin door to adjoining unit allowed normal conversation and hangars clattering in closet to come through. Front desk either could not or would not let us switch rooms. (They did waive the parking fee [see below]). Alarm clock woke us at 5:17 a.m., I assume having been set by previous occupant and not deleted by housekeeping staff. Bathroom sink was not in bathroom but in alcove open to the room so middle-of-the-night handwashing subjects the other occupant to light and noise. And the minuscule tub-and-toilet room was separated only by paper-thin pocket door. Non-non-slip bathtub and no grab bars. Zero housekeeping unless you pay an extra $25 per night. Zero. Parking is $40 per night. Huge “resort fee” added to nightly room rate. Others do this too, but it’s still deceptive. No breakfast available in any form, and front desk staff was unable to provide suggestions for breakfast spots. Wait: actually, there was coffee. Undrinkable, ghastly coffee. Otherwise, it was just fine. In fairness, the beds were comfortable, and the room and linens were very clean.

My sons reception was here Staff were very nice and cooperative Place is beautiful,not the best but beautiful They gave a complimentary room To tne couple with lots of goodies Most of all they didn’t hassle over anything Tne event manager was great and tne crowd had a blast!

The Charter needs a refresh from the 1990’ heavy wood decor and decorations. The formula seems to be the preferred style in the area. Nestled in the Vail/Eagle Beaver Creek valley this is a lovely resort hotel within a condominium for owner-vacationers. B435 has a lovely view from the tiny room with two queen beds. Only one of the two windows opened which would have allowed fresh air to enter. It would have been nice to have functioning TV! The vintage bathroom needs a walk-in shower rather than archaic curtain rod & tub with NO grab bars…really… Senior be aware of the “step in & over” tub hazard too… The personnel at the front desk and dining room were attentive & courteous as well as knowledgeable about local transportation options/shuttle. Fresh coffee in the reception longe area was great! Given an opportunity, we will come back; however, I know I would investigate the type of room options before committing.
