Although writing a negative review is something I try to avoid, in this case it needs to be written. We arrived at the BlueSky condo for a six nights stay and found that our unit 4XX was in the best location with a great view of the Snowflake lift and easy access to Charter Sports down on the first floor. The unit looked clean; aside from some dust on the mantel and some of the furniture being scuffed up a little, which is to be expected in a high traffic condo. The king bed in the owner’s suit was where it all went downhill! When getting in bed we noticed the sheets looked dingy, we figured they had been cleaned and it was just time for them to be replaced. The first night we both felt itchy while trying to sleep although my husband was REALLY bad. Thinking the problem may have been the soap he used to shower with the next day we went to the store to get different soap, the same problem with the itching continued. After another night the itching was completely unbearable. I decided to remove the sheets and wash them thinking that might help. When I removed the sheets, I was absolutely DISGUSTED by what I found! Under the fitted sheet I found a thin cotton mattress cover that had period BLOOD, PUBIC HAIR and crushed SPIDERS on it. I removed that and then found a MASSIVE URINE or BODY FLUID STAIN covering over half of the mattress we were sleeping on! We IMMEDIATELY contacted VACASA to inform them of what was found. Later that day we were contacted by the manager onsite. The GOOD; the manager contacted us that day, offered cleaning of the unit and offered a small refund for compensation. The BAD; at NO TIME did the manager or anyone from management come to look at the mattress, they sent Orkin to look for bed bugs which there were none but never came back to look at the mattress we had to sleep on. The mattress was NEVER replaced nor covered with a proper mattress cover that protects from fluid which means that the people that came in after us are sleeping on that same disgusting mattress! After washing the sheets, which I had to do twice because the Orkin man put them on the floor while checking the mattress for bed bugs, they came out BRIGHT WHITE with NO STAINS. Although I appreciate the quick call from the manager after reporting the issue, I feel BlueSky and Vacasa dropped the ball on actually FIXING the problem. We would have been happy with the refund (about 30% of our total stay) if they would have actually replaced or at least properly covered the mattress. Instead they offered the discount and walked away leaving us to sleep on a disgusting mattress for 6 nights. We will be sticking with Marriott properties after this experience.

3rd time staying at Blue Sky in the summer. We love the location, beautiful short hike right outside the door up to the reservoir. The free shuttle is great. We parked and didn't have to move our car for a week. The pool and hot tubs, with mountain views, are very relaxing. The discounts on bike rentals was significant when renting for a family of 5. The staff were very helpful. Jake and Alex especially. Be sure to ask for humidifiers in each room especially if you are not used the dry mountain air.

Unit 409 has a horrible view of the hot tub 4 feet from Your bedroom. The interior den has a view of a stone wall. It is noisy and miserable. We had to move and pay for another property doubling our housing expenses. Air B N B does not provide pictures that show how awful this location is.
