Best Western Inn Suites Castle

Beware, you must have a physical credit card with you to check in! I had a card with me but the person in line in front of me with 2 little kids had their credit card on their phone and the clerk said the room payment couldn't be processed even though a valid credit card had been used when the reservation was made and the credit card information was stored on the guest's cell phone. so very late at night a long line of guests are standing around while the only clerk refuses to let this family check in until...someone else reads a credit card number over the phone to the clerk, and then suddenly they could have a room. um, hello? there was already a valid credit card on file and the person had cc info on their phone. I don't understand why they had to find someone to CALL in another credit card to pay for the room (the entire lobby could hear every word of this transaction so it's not like the original card on file was rejected for any reason). When it was finally my turn the clerk announced loudly what room I was in, even though I was clearly traveling alone- this is not a respectful safety practice for a female guest with a long line of other folks waiting to check in. Thankfully there were no safety concerns after that but there is no need to loudly announce the room where there is no privacy due to a long line of tired people waiting to check in. Maybe have more than 1 check-in staff on duty when expecting a high number of guests during the summer? I did check in online ahead of time but still had to show id/credit card and sign a form to get the room key.

I have yet to arrive at the hotel and spoke to Carol their manager to help with my 3 room reservation. She had to return the call to finish ~ right on time, she was so friendly and accommodating, I was very impressed and look forward to our stay.

Quite impressed with this hotel. Don’t usually stay in Best Western hotels. Loved the home made cookies and the front desk gentleman who recommended great restaurants. Room and hotel were very clean and maid service was very much appreciated with fresh towels and coffee. Breakfast was perfect, lots of choices. The breakfast lady was very nice and hard working.
