Crossland Col Springs South

This was by far and without doubt the worst hotel experience I have ever had. We had come to Colorado Springs with family to attend a funeral. There were 12 of us including small children and we needed a clean budget friendly option for accommodations, we weren't interested in any "frills", just basic clean rooms and environment. Basically, we were looking for what the pictures on the hotel website showed. What we got was the employee at the front desk constantly on her phone complaining to someone about another employee. Constantly apologizing for the delay, but still walking to the back room and leaving us to wait. Check-in for 3 rooms between my son and I was at least 40 minutes with others waiting behind us. Next were the facilities. We went and checked the rooms before having our family come up, and the rooms were disgusting, dirty, beat up with gouges in the walls. Next was the general environment of the place. When we drove up we were concerned as it looked really sketchy. As we walked to our rooms to check them out, there were people laying in the walkways (looked like they were high). It felt incredibly unsafe especially since we had little children with us. This was a TOTAL bait-and-switch. The pictures of the hotel looked nice, but the reality is this was NOT what they advertised. Do not stay here...EVER. We were so disgusted by it all that we canceled our reservation on the spot and my kids/grandkids picked up a AirBnB nearby and my wife and I stayed at a local Marriott Courtyard.

I had an okay stay at HomeTowne Studios Colorado Springs. The room wasn’t overly clean, but it was fine and acceptable. I liked having the kitchen area and the full-sized refrigerator. Breakfast was not included, but overall, the hotel still offers a super great value for the money. However, I am extremely disappointed with the communication and the office staff. I accidentally left my expensive Adidas shorts in the room after checkout. I reached out via the official Booking.com messaging portal to ask if housekeeping had found them so they could hold onto them for me to pick up. To this day, I haven’t received any response at all—not a yes, not a no, completely nothing. It is highly unprofessional that guest inquiries regarding left-behind personal property are just completely ignored.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff is always so nice. My room was very clean. I like the large size fridge , small microwave, and a 2 burner mini stove. Table with 2 chairs to eat. LG TV on the wall. Walk in large shower. No stained towels or bedding, no holes. Close to Walmart, circle K and the bus route. As well as easy access to the highway. Sure there are better hotels out there. However for the price ... It's very hard to beat. They have security patrolling at night to make sure that there is no one just hanging out in the parking lot. I've been to the expensive hotels as well .... This one is actually nicer than some of them... Which keeps me coming back.
