Elk Mountain Lodge

We stayed 2 nights in the 3rd floor King with balcony which is the largest room at the lodge. The room had a chair, was clean but fairly small (probably 150 sq. ft. at most including bathroom). The location was ideal only being 3 blocks from Elk Ave, the main street downtown. The staff was very nice and helpful with answering questions. The buffet breakfast was decent and offered a good veggie egg bake both mornings we were there, however did not offer any meat (bacon, sausage or ham). Our stay was very plesant overall, however I feel the $450 charge per night for the accomodations which included free parking was overpriced.

My Husband and I enjoyed our three-night stay! The staff were all very friendly and helpful, recommending hikes, bringing luggage up the stairs, and setting my husband up for a work video conference. The bedroom was comfortable, and we very much enjoyed chatting with other wonderful and interesting guests in the common rooms. Breakfast included a delicious egg item that changed every morning, as well as fruit, yogurt, granola, breads and spreads. We appreciated the tea and water available all day, as well as the yummy baked goods in the afternoon. Great location to hike and to walk into town. Enjoyed sitting outside on the porch. Would definitely return!

I came here for my wife and I's 14 year anniversary. We paid $750'ish dollars for two nights and almost 13% sales tax on the the stay. I left a 3 of 5 star review on Google because the mattress was uncomfortable and the breakfasts were both vegetarian only. And quite frankly, kind of meager. The hotel owners replied to the Google review that I had obviously come after breakfast was concluded, which was not true. I was at breakfast at 0760 and 0830. Instead of taking ownership for a weak breakfast, with no meat and skimping on basic things like cream cheese for bagels, they replied to my Google review that I had arrived after breakfast service had been served. Instead of confirming what they had served, they just made up a narrative. I would love to hear what breakfast meat they saved on 08/30 and 08/31 because I'm absolutely calling some liars out.
