2 weeks this year in Red Fox Cabin. Enjoyed every day. Owners Leah and Matt super, and well-equipped cabins nestled in forest, but not too isolated. Did lots of backroads drives. Gorgeous. Excellent grocery store in Crested Butte, and plenty of dining opportunities.

I love, love, love these cabins! I have been visiting CB since the 1980's, but this is my first time staying at Pioneer Cabins. They are in a beautiful, quiet, peaceful location. I stayed in the Homestead cabin, and it was perfect (though a bit smaller than it appears in the photos). I will be returning this month for another week during the Wildflower Festival, this time staying in the Wild Rose cabin. I went with my two dogs. Leah is obviously a dog-lover so your four-legged friends will be welcomed (you do have to give advance notice). I did not meet Matthew, but Leah was very kind and helpful. They also quickly responded with answers about the cabins in advance of my stay (for example, which cabins have microwaves, and types of outdoor seating for each cabin). I plan to make this a yearly stay and also hope to stay for a few days in the fall during the peak fall colors. This is a perfect location to stay for a drive over Kebler Pass during the fall colors, which in my opinion is one of the most beautiful drives in the state.

This was my second stay at the Pioneer Guest Cabins. My girlfriend and I stayed here on a girls trip a couple years ago and loved the place. I wanted to share the experience with my husband. We stayed for a couple days to hike in the area of Crested Butte. The cabin we stayed in (Doubletop) was clean and very comfortable. The cabins are small by comparison to hotels these days, but it is a cabin and not supposed to be huge. The cabin was decorated and had everything you could need. There was a gas fireplace, a wood stove, and a fire pit and picnic bench. There are games, books and puzzles in the office you can borrow. Most important was the shared hot tub! There is a heated shack to change in beside the hot tub. My husband even brought his fly fishing rod and got in a bit of fishing at the creek before we headed out for our hikes. We had no cell service in the area, but each cabin had wifi in case you panic to disconnect. The owners are environmentally respectful and you can see when you chat with them, they love where they live and want to take care of the land/environment. We LOVED our stay and will be going back!!
