HAMPTON INN AND SUITES DENVER SOUTH - RidgeGate

We chose our room and got a digital key through our Hilton Honors App the day before arrival -confirmed. We always book the top floor and away from the elevators as we are light sleepers and early to bed people. When we arrived at our previously indicated time of 5:00, we were told sorry, the room hasn’t been cleaned yet , we put you in another room. Yes you guessed it - lower floor and right next to the elevator. Many chatty people in front of the elevator and our door late at night made for a miserable night’s sleep and a tired driver for the 9 hour drive the next day. Why offer the open room chart for pre arrival booking if you can’t assure your patrons of their choice. Needless to say this hotel won’t be our choice the next trip through Denver.

Even though I booked online at a particular price indicating I was traveling with a dog, and then I verbally confirmed at check in what my price would be, I got a surprise $50 extra charge on my bill. Had I known I’d be paying $175 for a night at the most outdated hotel in the area, I would’ve booked somewhere else. The accommodations are fine for the listed $109 plus tax, but this extra charge significantly lowers the value of the stay

We stayed here one night passing through. We arrived late and the check in person was very nice. The room was clean and beds were comfortable and room seemed bigger than normal. Hotel was quiet and no traffic noises. I would definitely stay here again.
