The hotel room itself was very clean and nice. Ear plugs and masks were provided as a nice touch.
Right outside the hotel, unhoused. people are walking by frequently asking for money. On street parking was difficult to find. I did find a spot a short distance away after driving in circles for awhile. In the morning, we found our car severely damaged from a hit and run driver. That really complicates things when you are 7 hours from home.
Bottom line: nice hotel, bad neighborhood

I will never go back to this place. There is no one to assist you if you need help. In our time there we did not meet anyone who could help us. The day we were supposed to check in, we did not receive the check-in details. I left several voice messages and a few emails asking for the info and didn't get any response. We booked our stay through Chase and we were on the call with the Chase travel agent for 2 hours while she tracked down the owner to get the check-in details. The manager finally messaged at 7.30 pm with the info, a couple of hours after the check-in time. Mind you , we flew to Denver and didn't have a place to go to until this person sent the details. They did not even bother to apologize.
The place does not have drinking water on the premises. There is an empty water dispenser in the basement. When we asked about it why there wasn't any drinking water they just replied saying there wasn't any. We paid $250 for two night. The least they could do was have drinking water available for guests.
The location is not great either. There is a homeless shelter right opposite the place. All night we could hear screaming and shouting outside on the street. Two people even tried to get inside the premises in the middle of the night. One night we saw a man sleeping near the empty water dispenser in the basement.
Overall, we did not have a good experience. Unresponsive /non existent staff made the experience worse. For the money I spent, it was no at all worth it.

This building itself is gorgeous, in a wonderfully convenient location if you are interested in walking downtown Denver. However, the room itself was not cleaned to any hotel stand. There was old trash under the bed, cobwebs on the chandelier and clumps of other peoples hair in the corners of the room. We might not have noticed the hair except that we dropped something and upon retrieving it we also pick up like a lot of hair... For the amount of money we paid for this room I would expect at the least a higher cleaning standard. We were 2 people staying, we were given one hand towel a medium towel and a standard towel for a 3 night stay. We ended up purchasing new towels because not only were they not enough for our stay, the towels provided smelled like kitchen grease.
The property has a non-smoking policy. I expect this from any hotel. However, they don't provide a safe place to smoke. Even though the property has a back yard that absolutely could be cleaned up and provided as a safe area for guests to smoke. As this is in downtown Denver there were many homeless people on the streets at night and I didn't feel safe to stand outside the hotel to smoke at night.
It's a pretty property but I would never stay again.
