Booked 2 rooms for 3 nights in August for the end of October stay and contacted the hotel directly a week before arrival to arrange for a late check in. Note: This was not sold as a cheap hotel (almost $800). Do not believe any of the online photos!
Upon arrival, the Desk Clerk first said that they did not have a reservation for us. When I gave them a copy of my confirmation, they said that what they meant was that they did not have 2 rooms together. It was late and we were tired.
Both rooms had a 2nd mattress on the floor (unrequested) with all the furniture shoved to one wall to make room. My kids’ room had what appeared to be blood stains on the walls and drapes, and filthy sheets. When the sheets were removed, the mattress also had blood stains. The floor in my room was filthy and the previous occupant had left personal items out in the open (hair bands, small toys, trash). Housekeeping could not have missed these items.
The Night Desk Clerk was not surprised or concerned by the condition of our rooms and said that nothing could be done because the housekeeping was gone. We were unsuccessful in finding another hotel with rooms in the area. We asked for clean sheets, a broom/mop, and cleaning supplies but only got a broom. Around midnight we were able to get a set of clean sheets that were the wrong size for all of the mattresses. The four of us spent the few hours left of the night feeling very unsafe and unclean.
We were lucky to find rooms at another hotel in the morning and went to check out (before 11am). The Day Desk Clerk/Manager yelled that the policy, IF there was a problem, is that we must give them a chance to move us (not what the Night Clerk said and not on my 5-page confirmation email), but the only rooms available were at a hotel in Centennial (20 miles) and we had to pay for the taxi. Then she said that she would not arrange for us to go there because we would probably just complain to them, too. She was not surprised or concerned about the condition of our rooms. She had a very loud and profane rant before finally saying that because of the circumstances, she would check the policy to see if she could cancel the remainder of our 2 rooms-3 nights reservation, but she was too busy to do it now. When we asked, “what is a reasonable amount of time for us to wait to hear from her”, she completely lost it, screaming that she did not have time for this 5%#t, and walked away. We stepped out of the lobby to wait for a taxi (very cold). She never contacted us.

The room had an overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke and when I notified the staff they told me to open a window and didn't offer anything more. The floors were so dirty our feet turned black. I let the staff know, they said they would clean the room. They re-made the bed but did not sweep or mop, we wore shoes in the room the rest of the time. The door was missing the door sweep at the bottom and was replaced with a piece of blue painters tape. I found multiple spiders in the room. One night we were asleep and I was woken by someone trying to get into our room. My husband had to get up and yell for them to go away, I did not feel safe. This is the worst stay I have ever had in my life. If Taylor wasn't in town and every room filled I would have left for a different hotel. I am so dissatisfied with my stay I cannot express enough how disappointed, disgusted, and unsafe I felt. This place needs to be demolished and rebuild with a nice place
