Spacious, quiet room, friendly staff, convenient location. Not sure how I feel about having to use valet parking, but it worked well enough.

I haven’t left a review for a hotel in years. I am compelled to write a review after our experience.
First we got a text from the hotel saying that the text could be used for questions about the reservation. I immediately replied with a question and never received an answer. No big deal, i can get past that.
We arrived at the hotel at 3:55. We were told they couldn’t check us in because as the reservation notes. Check in is at 4. Oh. Ok. We’ll get a coffee at the coffee shop 10’ away. Except. No one there. The same guy from the desk came over and made a coffee for us and said he was sorry, our room wouldn’t be ready for a while. Oh. Ok. Traveled all day, arrive at the prescribed check in time so we could rest before our evening out. Some finished our coffees and went back to the front desk at 4:30. Still not ready, sold out the night before, could catch up. The lady next to me was upset and get comped a free meal at the attached restaurant. Guess I should’ve gotten upset, but was too tired from traveling to bother.
So we went to the attached restaurant and got a drink while we wait. Drink arrives and the guy comes over and says our room is ready. No apology, no regret, just a heads up. Right on.
Our room was small, but you expect that at older hotels. The rooms was behind the elevator. Every up and down was heard. In thr shower, the shower valve popped out when activating the shower. Cool.
We checked out Saturday morning. We went down to get breakfast, walked past front desk. No good morning. No hello, just pecking away at the computer. We stand at the breakfast spot for quite some time. I go to the front desk and ask if we are in the right place to order. She just says, yes, there. No eye contact. Just points. We go wait. Another couple shows up. They wait too and eventually just sit. My wife goes back and explains we are heading to a flight and need to order breakfast. She scoffs and rolls her eyes and disappears into the kitchen. She returns with the overworks lady running the breakfast. No apology. No explanation. Just heads back and pecks away on computer.
The lady working the breakfast was apologetic, kind and helpful. She was great. Breakfast was fine. Not great. Went out and talked to valet about a ride to the train station. He too, was kind and helpful. He told me that the front desk would comp me an uber.
No thanks. I didn’t want to interact with her again. I’ll book my own. We did check out with her. Told her about the bathroom. No acknowledgment. Just gave us our receipt.
I wouldn’t have left this review, I would have rather talked to the manager. But after emailing front desk and being cc’d with the manager. No reply. I also filled out their review they sent me and asked to be contacted. Nothing. So here I am.
It’s too bad. Cute place. Great location. Wished we would have loved it.
STAY AWAY FROM HERE.

The worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Small rooms, uncomfortable beds, and completely outdated interior. To make matters worse, the rooms AC wouldn’t get below 75 degree, and the “remedy” to this was to bring in an old, moldy, dirty water-squirting portable AC unit. For a hotel that is marketing itself as unique and upscale (aka overpriced), they are doing an awful job. Would much prefer any basic chain over this. Steer clear.
