Historic Strater Hotel

It's in a great location, and the people were all incredibly friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and clean - decor is interesting - not our favorite and beds not overly comfortable. The room was noisy too - we could hear everything from the next room and they were talking until 3:00 am, and the ceiling was noisy from the people upstairs. They do offer free parking too, whcih is a real benefit

If you like historic hotels, this is a GREAT ONE! We have stayed here twice in Room#323 and have loved every minute of it. Location is awesome on the Main Street of Durango close to everything. There is some much hotel history to be learned about here. Rooms are great and comfortable.

I stayed at the Strater Hotel as part of a group tour of Colorado. All the rooms in this hotel were different. It felt like you were at home at this hotel, maybe going back in time! The staff and management were super helpful. I, and it seemed all my fellow travelers, enjoyed our stay!
