Fort Collins Super 8 Motel

I would check in before going to dinner next door as you will gwt a 10% discount on your meal (see Hacienda Real). The motel is easy to access from I-25. They offer breakfast. The WiFi works and the shower in warm! All in all, not a bad place to spend the night.

Staff was quick for check-in and out, the room was comfortable and quiet, and it was a pretty view. The breakfast was decent for a budget hotel, but there are two issues to be aware of: 1. There is long-term living here. Even though this is a hotel, this is several people’s longtime residence. 2. Many of the exterior doors don’t work most of the time. We had to keep putting in the card multiple time just to get it to unlock or walk around to the main entrance every time we went outside. Two big issues that got a markdown.

This was one of the few affordable hotel rooms available CSU graduation weekend! I had low expectations, but it had a convenient location and some updating. The carpet and drapes looked newer, had a working mini refrigerator and my room was quiet! It's set back a bit off the road overlooking a vacant grassland property (soon to be developed though. The historic old farmhouse is set for demolition. Soon that ranch will be hotels, houses, or shopping centers. Growth is changing Fort Collins, just like the rest of Colorado.) The front desk clerk was cheerful and helpful, even though it seems he'd already had a 12 hour shift with no break when I arrived. Downside: the bathtub was gross - chipped tub and drain - and a bad smell was wafting up out of the drain. A few tears on the bedspreads. In general, I don't think hotels wash bedspreads frequently; I try not to think about that when I crawl into bed! (: There is a 20% discount at Denny's next door, where I had a nice big salad with chicken for only $11!
