Monte Villa Inn

It is a classy building with an old fashioned elevator. It is definitely worth the stay!

I actually really enjoyed our stay here. There are definitely some quirks, but what a cool hotel. Check-in was good. The staff actually walked me to the elevator to show it to me. It is old, but works fine. There are so many cool spaces to hang out from the lobby to the old bar, the cafeteria, even every floor has an area with chairs and tables. It's an old but beautiful hotel. Our room was small but renovated. The curtains were so high it was tough to open and close them and the sink was rather tiny. However, the bed was comfortable, plenty of pillows, decent amenities, good water pressure and hot water. Good Wi-Fi. The breakfast had some tasty surprises like slices of kielbasa and apple juice in cartons. Not something we often see in our travels. I would definitely stay here again.

I was a bit upset b/c my card was charged when I could not make the trip. I was also not able to give my room to anyone else b/c of policies, even though my card was charged for the whole price of the room. And then the front desk person hung up on me. It was hard to understand her and she was not very friendly.
