All was very nice. The breakfast was excellent. We met a lot of nice people. It was just 2 blocks from the Main Street, so easy access.

My wife and I have stayed at the Black Bear Manor several times, but the last time was nearly ten years ago. I knew the property had changed hands since our last visit. Deann cooked some wonderful breakfasts during our stay, and the room was fine. One of the amenities that made this B&B special to us was the beer and wine reception held in the evenings. The former owner would typically have a keg of Ska beer from Durango in the kitchen, along with bottled wine. I was really looking forward to something similar to this on our recent trip. Imagine my disappointment at seeing a few cans of light beer and some boxed wine. Not to be too critical, but this is quite a stepdown from the former standards. Another thing we noticed was the general appearance of the property was not as nice as before--in particular, the front parlor and breakfast room.

Our stay was OK. For $400 a night for five nights one shouldn’t have to ask for trash pickup. Also bed linens didn’t fit very well. Fitted sheet wouldn’t stay on and sheets hung over onto the floor on both sides. The breakfast was adequate but nothing special. We stayed here two years ago with no issues and a wonderful breakfast. A bit disappointed with this stay.
