Chamonix

I had a wonderful weekend at Chamonix by Snowmass Lodging! It started with a pickup a few steps an out the door of the airport. My driver, Dewey made you feel like you have been lifetime friends! The drive is very scenic and the best part is that it’s only about ten minutes to the condo:) The lodging was great, with everything you could want and the amenities were fantastic, including a workout room and a pool and hot tub that is literally next to the hill, so you can watch the skiers go by. One of the greatest parts of the weekend was that the drivers are at your beckon call and would take you anywhere in the village The drivers that I had, Dewey, Matt, Drew, and Daniel were all extremely friendly, timely and professional. Chamonix is within minutes of great restaurants, bars, shops, etc. , so you never have to go far to have a great meal or a great time! The skiing was fantastic and you could not ask for a better ski-in/ski-out. There is a locker room for your gear and you can walk a few steps from the building and onto the hill and just as easily, ski right back in at the end of the day. The front desk staff was super friendly and helpful and took care of every need or want. The customer service was excellent throughout the weekend! My weekend ended with a nice quick ride to the front door of the airport! I would highly recommend Chamonix to anyone looking for ski-in/ski-out in the Snowmass area and I hope to go back soon!!

We picked this place to do the ski in ski out location and I liked the idea of having a slopeside hot tub for Apri ski. Skins key out location was good but I think it would have been better if located on the west side of the village. Pool area was shaded in the afternoon, so it was quite cold. Very much appreciated the ski lockers to store our items. Layout of the resort is very confusing with several buildings, and several different staggered levels, so was impossible to avoid some stairs. The actual condo was not really all that nice. I appreciated that two bedrooms could sleep six people with two bunks in one of the room with a queen. Patio access from the master bedroom was nice. Good amount of windows for natural lighting. Furnishings, however, were old there was a hole in the ceiling in the dining area from a fan that had been ripped out, but never been replaced. Tiniest wine glasses I’ve seen in any place I’ve ever stayed. Small galley kitchen. The price was very high, and didn’t really measure up to the value of the actual accommodation. If I was going to stay in a lower quality accommodation, I would expect it to cost half as much and will just seek that out in the future.

Had a great stay, and the wife loved it too. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff (shout out to Dewey) was really helpful as it was our first visit to Snowmass. It was good value for the money, we'd absolutely come back!
