Kutuk

Our family loves Kutuk after staying here during three different occasions, but was hoping the hot tubs would be open during our stay, especially after calling several days ahead of our trip to confirm that they would be. Kutuk has an incredible outdoor area, which is one of the main reasons we stay here. We completely understand the need to be COVID cautious, but we do not understand the need to close one of Kutuk's highlights completely even if there has been a COVID outbreak at the facility. A sign up sheet can easily allow guests to enjoy the hot tub within their specific group without coming into contact with another group. It is frustrating to see surrounding lodges and their hot tubs open such as the one above Kutuk's just 20 yards away. If we had known such a big highlight to Kutuk was closed, we would have looked at other options. Please consider opening Kutuk's hot tubs immediately for future guests with a COVID friendly option to sign up and enjoy all features or be transparent with guests before arriving so they don't expect certain features to be open that are not.

Ski club booked the condo. Easy walk across the street to get on the slopes. Nice fire pit outside. Some friends had 3rd floor condos and there is no elevators. We had NO maid service during the week. We were able to change our towels out at the front desk. No replenishment of any toiletries or paper goods during our stay. Quite a difference after staying at Snowmass with the club the week prior, and having maid service every day in a condo. Washer/Dryers were located at frond desk. Not much customer service existed at this resort, but the room was nice.

We stayed in Kutuk 310 on our recent trip to Steamboat. As the title says, great location, comfortable spaces (living and sleeping) and spacious! In the summer, the underground parking was not that necessary but given no nearby locations to park, very handy! Our condo's main floor had a decent sized kitchen 3 people could occupy without bumping into each other. Plenty of cookware and silverware for many situations. Living area was spacious with a very large couch, fireplace, and TV. At the entrance, there was plenty of space to hold gear in any season. Bedrooms were large and the beds were comfortable. The main bedroom had its own full bath with a bit of a tight entrance. Main bath was a bit larger. The loft area was comfy and had its own full bath (walk-in shower versus tubs in the other 2 bathrooms) and was very stylish. There is a shared balcony with another condo which would leave little room for more than 2 adults. The hot tubs were nice with good views (through trees) of the base area and view in the direction of downtown. We didn't use any grills to cook but there were 2 in front of our condo door and 2 in the terrace area near the hot tubs. We could easily walk to the bus stop in front of Torian Plum and Ski Times Square was not much further. This said trekking in ski boots would not be high on my list. Perhaps with 1' of packed snow, a gravel area would be skiable to one of the slopes trails to the base area, otherwise, it'd be quite a hike in boots hauling gear.
