Been coming here many years to stay meet and celebrate with fellow aviators.... The accomodations are very comfortable... Ski in and out (well almost). close to shops and restaurants... Good Bus service to town.

Very clean and nice condo walk to the gondola. A bit of a hike uphill after a day of skiing but no need for a car. Condo was I. Good shape but lacked some basics we have experienced in other condos such as sugar, laundry detergent, plastics cups for kids, etc. Bedding was just ok, pillows were not good at all but we managed. Overall nice place and well-maintained.

Stayed here for a week with a ski group. Check in was disorganized, we were dropped off at central check in - which was a ways from the condo - and the shuttle with our luggage left without anyone knowing when it's going to come back and pick us up. Then they gave us only two room keys (the key cards don't work and they said the previous guest ran off without returning keys as if that justified why they couldn't make more keys) when we are 4 sharing the condo and need individual access. All that initial chaos aside, the service was overall responsive - i.e., they did eventually get us extra keys, brought missing supplies to the unit, and fixed the fireplace in one of the rooms all without undue delay. The condo we had was #7, on ground level of a two story building. It has a large kitchen, sunken living room, two bedrooms (one king, one twin) with fireplace, attached bath and balcony upstairs, and one kid's room with a bunk bed and adjacent bath. Decor and furnishings very dated, TVs are retro tube style (condos are probably individually owned so each unit would be different, some more updated than others and do have LCD TVs), and so is the microwave which looks like it belongs in a history museum. Anyway everything in this unit is totally basic but clean and spacious enough for 4 people. The king bed reportedly was comfortable but the twins were super tiny, short and narrow, suitable for children not adults. Again other units could be different so it's something to bear in mind when booking. Wifi was fairly fast. Location's not bad, within walking distance to slopes, about 300 yards and you'll be almost right at the Gondola stop. Or you can call the free shuttle to take you to the Gondola square. The resort shuttle service operates on an on-demand system and works quite well and can take you anywhere within the resort and downtown Steamboat for grocery shopping or restaurants. There are two outdoor hot tubs for this condo just across the road about 50 yards from our unit (be sure they provide bathrobes in your unit however as you will need them for this hike in the snow).
