Phoenix Resort Unit 225 THE DESCRIPTION REGARDING THIS UNIT IS DECEPTIVE AND INACCURATE. I have NEVER felt so deceived and disappointed in a rental. The furnishings are described as “recently remodeled”, high quality”, and “brand new”. *The sofa bed mechanism did not work. It had to stay open our entire visit. *the top of the leather chairs were entirely dry rotted and crumbling. The elastic fabric protectors were disgustingly dirty. *the dining chairs and ottomans were in pitiful condition. The cushions were permanently sunken in and could not be used for seating. *the ice maker nor the remote worked. I reached out to Escala multiple times during our stay. I provided pictures. I asked multiple times if the management company was aware of the issues. They never responded to my question. **they did not post my review on their page. Apparently, they only share 5-star reviews** We get one family vacation a year. I am so disappointed this was my choice.

One week stay at newly refurnished Phoenix 220. The new furnishings are gorgeous! The unit is modern with nods to the beautiful surroundings. Deep, comfortable sofas with beautiful leather accent pillows. New large TV's in most rooms. Our daughter loved curling up in the super comfortable beds to watch movies! The bedrooms are fully outfitted with new western themed bedding, solid wood furniture, and the most comfortable beds. Bathrooms are newly remodeled with beautiful slate tile and quartz countertops. The unit was clean, and everything is NEW and FABULOUS. I assume the owner's hired a professional designer. We loved walking to the mountain village. Had a wonderful dinner at Truffle Pig, and enjoyed watching our Georgia Bulldogs play on the outdoor tv's at Slopeside. It was super convenient to have a pizza place right next door (Antonio's) as well as market across the street (Wild Plum). The whole family enjoyed the on site pool, hot tub and sauna, as well as the games and pool table in the clubhouse. Highly recommend visiting Strawberry Hot Springs and booking an ATV trip with Steamboat Lake Outpost!

We stayed in Unit 220. The unit appears to have been furnished by the salvation army when the building was first built a few decades ago. The sofa is worn so the pattern is no longer visible and in many areas you can see the stuffing. I had to put a blanket over it. The same goes for the side chair which not only was scraped and worn in all places with the seat itself completely broken. The table is so scratched it wouldn't even be acceptable in a college dorm. The kitchen smelled heavily of fish. There was little bedding but plentiful old comforters in torn trash bags in every closet. The lamp shade in the master was slashed. The lamp in the living room was bent at a 30 degree angle. The TV was an old tube TV. The bedrooms were decent but much of the bedding appeared stained and it was clear the comforters did not get washed. The master was very dark even during the day. We had to use our phone flashlight to get dressed. I asked for a transfer immediately making it clear this was unacceptable. I spoke to the front desk who was indifferent, the local Vacasa rep and the national rep. I sent pictures and spent hours on the phone along with text messages and an email. Making this process difficult was the poor cell phone reception. No one responded until after we left saying they would contact the local office. That was the only correspondence I ever received. We spent over 10,000 dollars on this week which could have refurnished this entire unit.... So much wasted potential. I feel incredibly cheated. I have never complained about a unit nor written such a review, but I felt compelled to save the next renter. On a positive note, the property itself was reasonable with great proximity to the slopes and restaurants. There was a small game room with a pool table and coffee as well as a sauna, pool and jacuzzi the kids enjoyed. There is a tiny hill the kids used to sled behind the pool.
