COMFORT INN VAIL/BEAVER CREEK

Besides the fact that this hotel is grossly overpriced for a mediocre room at best, it has absolutely no security. Our vehicle was broken into on December 29, 2025 along with 6 others on the property. Both passenger side windows of our truck were smashed and our glove box was rifled through. The area where we were directed to park has no security cameras and the hotel itself has no security personnel. This happened on Monday night and the receptionist gave us a weak apology telling us that the manager would be calling us. It is now Sunday evening and still haven't heard anything. After talking with the Avon police we were informed that this has happened at this hotel on more than one occasion. If you are smart you WILL NOT stay at this hotel.

We booked this hotel for two nights the first situation is that the lobby is not connected directly to the rooms/elevator, this means you have to go all the way around park in the back of the building where they have the entrance to access the elevator/rooms. This morning we received a call from police informing our car was vandalized, window was broken, seven cars in the same situation and the hotel doesn’t have cameras on the back of the building… which I found extremely concerning. The hotel does not assume any responsibility for the car damage.The only response we got from the receptionist is that the manager will contact us later. We never got a call. Very disappointing experience.

The lack of humanity from this hotel is astonishing. Due to the massive winter storm hitting Colorado the event we were traveling to was cancelled at the last minute and the DOT is threatening to close roads. We wanted to reschedule our stay not cancel all together and the hotel first gave us the run around and then denied a change to a new date. They instead went ahead and made a new reservation for the new date and want to charge us for both stays. There will be people stuck in the mountains who will need this room. The hotel is not loosing money. We wanted to stay with them and just change the date. The corporate/franchise greed and lack of understanding is ridiculous.
