The Wren at Vail

We stayed for 4 nights to explore the endless slopes of Vail! We originally booked 3 nights and the staff was able to arrange a 4th night in a different unit. Our first three nights were in Condo 410 which had a fantastic living room with a huge leather sectional, large dining table, breakfast table, and kitchen counter space. The open concept living space was definitely spacious enough for a group of 10; which provided plenty of room for our party of 3! The walk out balcony had great views of the Golden Peak area and Gore Creek. The 2 bedrooms were pretty spacious as well, the primary having an en-suite and a second bathroom located in the central hallway. Our second condo (405) had quite a bit smaller living space, a slightly larger primary bedroom, and a loft with a couple of twin-sized beds. Some of the furnishings were nicer but we preferred the larger living space of 410. The Wren provided covered parking and the community heated pool and two hot tubs were nice. The location had pretty walkable access to both Riva Bahn (#6) and Gondola One access points of the mountain; about 15-minute walk to either. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and particularly loved unit 410. Although we only used the complimentary shuttle one of our mornings, it was a nice bonus if you’re not feeling like taking the 15-minute walk down the hill; it’s really the afternoon walk up the hill that was a little challenging after a long day of riding. The only suggestion I have would be to include a tray or mat near the front door to catch snow / water from boots and shoes.

Awaeome place to stay for a quick ski trip. We have stayed here on two separate vacations and enjoyed each trip. The shuttle makes it worthwhile. It’s not that far of the walk on the gore creek walkway but the shuttle makes the out-of-the-way price worth it.

We were very pleased with our unit at The Wren. While it is a fact that the building is older, they have done a good job updating the units to be modern and very clean. The bath and kitchen were both updated and quite new. All fixtures and appliances were new, the TV and fireplace were as well. The bed was very comfortable. While we were initially a little disappointed that we were on the ground level, we found that the views were just as good AND we had a nice patio with a grass yard abutting the Gore Creek. In late September the mountain views were spectacular! The staff was friendly and helpful when needed and the maintenance team kept the flowers and grounds looking lovely even in late September. The pool was warm and the two hot tubs were great, and all were very clean. The location is nice - far enough out of the hubbub of Vail village, but not too far of a walk to all the restaurants and shops. It was lovely walking a few blocks along the beautiful Gore creek to get to the action.
