Homewood Suite Hilton Hartford South-Glastonbury

My husband and I stayed here one night in order to move our son out of UCONN dorm. This was our first stay at this location as our usual location in Manchester was sold out. We enjoyed the area with plenty of amenities to walk to after a long drive. Check-in was quick and easy. Staff was helpful and friendly. We stayed in a king studio. It was enough room for the two of us for one night. The thermostat accurately warmed/cooled the room. The weather was quite cold for May and we needed the adjustments. The room was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately people were so loud in the hallway in the middle of the night. I will never understand how this is just the norm now where ever you stay. They only have one elevator. The wait and crowding can be an issue. The breakfast the next day was nice. The coffee was available and hot. Staff was again friendly. We plan to stay here again and forego our Manchester space all-together.

Used this hotel with the assistance of Katia, their wedding & events coordinator, to book our wedding block. Katia is the BEST of the best, so accommodating and so kind. The whole experience was easy, and smooth. The rooms were clean and the value was great for the cost of the rooms.

We arrived after a flight from Minnesota to Connecticut and a full day of walking around Hartford. This place was home away from home. The hotel was an easy ride from downtown Hartford. We arrived and the front desk attendant was very pleasant and provided several suggestions locally for dinner. Our room was very spacious with a small kitchenette. The bed was comfortable while the pillows provided the right comfort for a good night sleep. We were at the later part of the breakfast crowd, but found the morning variety fresh and appealing to our traveling party. While we did experience a cooler shower the first morning, the shower on Sunday was steaming hot. Great shower heads and pressure by the way. I personally enjoyed the storage space in the bathroom cabinet area as well as the closet next to the shower. We enjoyed our two day stay, and found the cleaning and maintenance to be in line or better for hotel such as this one. There was very little road noise and although we were close to the elevator, there was little to no noise from the elevator. It appears that the staff and management take pride in this hotel. I would recommend staying here in your next visit to the Hartford area.
