Knights Inn Groton/Mystic Area

Just about ready to be closed. No maintenance it seems for the last 4 or 5 years. Too bad as it is in a pretty location,

This place was excellent. Very quiet room, no outside noise coming in to the room, which is rare, especially for the excellent low price of the room. Bed was comfortable and I got an excellent night of sleep. The front desk clerk was very nice and welcoming. I loved my stay here, 10/10 would recommend.

First, the pictures on the website need to represent what the rooms and offices look like. The rooms are not the same as those displayed on the website. The carpet was dirty, and the bathtub and sink were never cleaned; we had to ask for soap, washcloths, and towels. The chair looked like something they found on the street. This place needs a total restoration if they want to continue reserving it for visitors rather than for people who need a place to live. No one came to clean the room. This appears to be a place where people experiencing homelessness or are government-placed. I initially was looking to stay at the same establishment in Waterford, which is 100% better and cleaner, but it was sold out. I chose the one in Groton, thinking it would be just like Waterford, where I stay from time to time when visiting the New London area. This establishment in Groton should be sued for false advertising. Beware and stay away unless you cannot afford anything better. The room rates should be cheaper for the garbage they put you in. This should be advertised as an inn for people experiencing homelessness or a shelter inn. My fault was that I didn't read the reviews because I expected it to be the same as Waterford.
