Atlantic Sands Hotel & Conference Center

Hotel is in dire need of updating rooms. In fact the Hotel should cease and desist showing online photos for rooms that are not updated. The photo we saw online for our room showed updated flooring, bedding, curtains, walls etc, When we arrived the hotel room had old blue carpeting that had ripples , frayed and dirty. My kids had on socks that turned black from the carpet. The bedding was musty and the bathroom was beyond gross. Mold all under the toilet and sinks , and we had seen bugs. The balcony was full of condensation from the air conditioning. The smell in the room wreaked of spilled fermented alcohol. No hangers in the closet , the fan in the bathroom had thick dust caked in. While the doors by the pool lock after 9 pm and a key is required to enter, quite frankly , anyone can access this hotel from the basement parking garage with out using a room key. I find that to be irresponsible for a family hotel. In addition, after hours , anyone can walk in the front door and go where ever they want with out being asked for a key , or using a key to access the elevators. For the price each night all you are getting is the location in proximity to the beach , with convenience of having ocean front dining for lunch and drinks and quick walk to town / boardwalk . There are much better places to stay on the main road for the same if not better price with luxury amenities like fitness centers, clean pools and nicer rooms. I would never pay these prices again. The Hilton down the road same prices per night ( actually $11 cheaper per night ) and much nicer. If you like a tropical Motel 6 feel, then this place is for you.. otherwise beware of false advertising and lack of security measures for safety after hours.

Great hotel, perfect location. Pool, boardwalk, beach. Was clean and safe.

Sands Hotel staff were great, all requests were met with answers and speed. Guests were friendly and respectful. Best hotel experience in Rehoboth Beach area. Accommodation’s including Pool, breakfast- lunch-dinner- on site availability, makes vacation time easy! Highly recommend for family’s, reunions, and people who just want their time at the beach!
