Doubletree Guest Suites Washington, DC

Room was awesome. Breakfast has a lot of options. Check in was easy. Appreciate the free fruit infused water. Near the metro station. Not loud at all which also means awesome sleep. Very chilly in the lobby and breakfast area. Although the thing that is keeping it 4 stars is that the bathroom is dirty with dirty stuff on the wall to. Shower was also broken. And we paid $2000 dollars for 4 people.

Nice simple hotel in Foggy Bottom about 2 blocks from the Metro. Rooms are good size and very clean. Good size closet and bedroom. Kitchen was workable, but there was no oven. Staff was super friendly and quick to respond to concerns. Breakfast had a lot of options, and was quite busy. Whole Foods nearby and TJ's is about a half mile walk. If you are Celiac, the breakfast staff is knowledgeable and had wrapped gluten-free options in the back.

We had low expectations because of photos posted by other travelers, as well as the downtown location. We were pleasantly suprised! Breakfast was awesome, fresh, with lots of variety, served in a well lit and spacious room. Our suite had a full kitchen and eating area, with a table for four, a couch, desk, and tv (in addition to the tv in the bedroom). Staff were polite and helpful with directions. The only downsides (minor) were a tiny bathroom (the door almost touched the toilet) and no cold water from the kitchen sink. We would definitely stay here again.
