Great location, easy walking distance to the Capitol, Mall, etc. Right by Union Station, easy to rent a car there. My wife loved all the decorations centered around George Washington and his life. Had a great social hour (even gave me beer), had pretzels and peanuts in the lobby all day. We weren’t quite sure what breakfast was gong to be like, as they don’t currently have a restaurant, and had a grab and go. It turned out to be fine. Fresh fruit, a very wide assortment of bakery products, which were tasty, and yogurt, (and typical Kimpton coffee bar). Every staff member we met was very nice. A nice welcome amenity. Room was nice, bed was very comfortable. Bathroom had both a tub and a shower, with very efficient use of counter space.

Lovely stay — the hotel was clean, comfortable, and easy to settle into. The team were friendly throughout, and Ahmed was especially helpful, making everything smooth from check‑in to checkout. Would happily return.

Ahmed gave amazing service, taking care of our luggage from car to room. The front desk staff were also very polite and courteous. Breakfast was tasty and room was very comfortable, clean, chic. My mom and I love Kimpton George!
