Great place to stay. Friendly staff, very clean and great location. The onsite restaurant was also very good. We will recommend to family and friends.

Now retired, amen, my husband & I are becoming avid travlers. With that, learning what's most important when finding places to stay! State Plaza Hotel checks all the boxes! Very friendly staff - Every one of them! (I didn't get all their names, but, thank you Gerald & Kibrom) ! VERY clean rooms!! Especially bathroom! Very comfortable beds & linens! Quiet for the city & depending on your plans, great location! Value, 100% ! God willing, we will be back!

Hotel with an excellent location, near the Lincoln Memorial, four blocks from the White House; from the hotel, you can walk to see the tourist area and the museums. Located four blocks from the Foggy Bottom metro station and there is a bus stop in front. It borders George Washington University. Regarding the room, I was surprised that it has a living-dining room and an independent kitchen; if you are going to prepare food, there is the Columbia Plaza market one block away or you can walk to the Whole Foods Market near Foggy Bottom where you find a great variety of fresh products. The room is quite bright, it is not outdated, it just has a retro style, with ample spaces; I would say it is a studio apartment, excellent for long stays.
